We just finished reading a pretty interesting article on medicalexpress.com – researchers have been testing high-fat diets and the role they play in the development of intestinal cancers in mice.
The excerpt we’re very interested in sharing with you today is this, from the 3rd paragraph of the article:
“While increased tumor formation was associated with mice fed corn or coconut fats, mice fed diets with olive oil as a source of fat did not develop intestinal polyps, despite being obese.”
This is a pretty neat study! While certain high-fat diets may contribute to the development of certain cancers, olive oil is still good for you!
