Our favourite news blog, Olive Oil Times has written yet another fantastic article, and we think you should check it out!

Extra Virgin Olive Oil is simply the juice of crushed olives. From the article, “…It must be produced entirely by mechanical means without the use of any solvents, and under temperatures that will not degrade the oil…” If it’s labelled Extra Virgin, that means that it hasn’t been refined or super-heated at all!

If you scroll a little bit further down the article, it also talked about the three flavours you should be able to pick out of all olive oils – fruitiness, bitterness, and pungency. That’s why we display the organoleptic taste panel assessments on all of our olive oil labels – so you can see just how fruity, pungent, and bitter each olive oil has been rated, by a panel of actual people tasting the oil!
