Get ready to put your hands together and stomp your cowboy boots for two incredibly talented acts at our Stampede Music Showcase!

We invite you to come on down on Saturday, July 14th to enjoy great live music, our 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off, incredible local food, fruits, veggies and more!

Steel & Timber is a talented trio & local favourite and always a crowd pleaser at the Calgary Farmers’ Market. Their music is a blend of roots country, folk rock, bluegrass and blues. Their eclectic sound is influenced by bands like the Black Keys, the Avett Brothers, Johnny Cash, and Jack White and the percussive energy of their playing has a earned them a unique place in Calgary’s music scene. Steel & Timber will take the stage at 11am.

Then you’ll be wowed by the talented female trio visiting from Vancouver. Last year, The Heels caught market-goers attention during the 2017 Stampede, while busking and blowing us away. They are a 2016 BCCMA Award winning female Country music trio with past solo careers spanning a rainbow of genres. The Heels – Bobbi Smith, Brittni Dominelli & Kyla Rawlins have joined forces as a powerful female presence. The trio are known for three part harmonies, sassy lyrics, unforgettable melodies and outstanding heels! The Heels will kick things up notch at 12pm.

10th Annual Chili Cook-off

It’s time to get your cowboy hats on, put your taste buds to the test, and help us put the Boots to Hunger for the Calgary Food Bank at our 10th Annual Chili Cook-off!

Come on down to the market July 13th & 14th from 11am – 3pm*, make a cash donation to the Calgary Food Bank and try the 7 mouthwatering chili’s. Vote for your favourite and be entered to win a gift basket filled with items from the Calgary Farmers’ Market.

This years competing chili’s are from:

– Chef’s Earth Inc.
– Eats of Asia
– Frank and Mabel’s Gourmet Hot Dogs & Frozen Treats
– Missing Link Extraordinary Sausage
– Silver Sage Grill
– Stock and Sauce Co.

In celebration of the Chili Cook Off’s 10th anniversary, we have also added a Judge’s Choice Award. Our panel of local food-loving expert judges will taste and award one contender the Judges Choice Chili Trophy.

Both the People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice winners will be announced Saturday, July 14th at 3:30 pm.
